OUR GOAL                                                  

Our goal is the goal of the Allgemeiner Deutscher Rottweiler Klub e.V., that is, the breeding of Rottweilers is the breeding of working dogs; to produce animals possessing the virtues of good health, mentality, character and conformation.

ABOUT US

Allgemein Rottweilers is owned by John and Lynne MacDonald of Cranbourne, Victoria, Australia. We have been actively involved with the breed for in excess of 25 and 35 years respectively. Our daughter Rachel is also a member of our family team, having grown up with Rottweilers from the day she was born. Rachel is actively involved in our kennel assisting with whelping and raising our puppies and also participating in conformation shows and the training of her young female.

Lynne’s first Rottweiler was a male Ch Auslese Bold Esquire CD, bred in 1976 by the late Jim Pettengell and his wife Yvonne of the internationally known kennel Auslese. In the following years Lynne acquired several females from Auslese as well as from the kennel Schaden owned by David and Pat Goble. Lynne participated in both specialty and all breeds conformation shows as well as obedience.

John acquired his first Rottweiler in 1985, a male whom he trained and trialled to Schutzhund I. This dog went on to become the first operational Rottweiler with the Australian Federal Government’s Protective Services.

John’s next dog was a very confident male puppy from the kennel Wallkuer owned by the late Kathryn Titman of Castlemaine, Victoria. This young puppy (‘Chaka’) was sired by Pettengell’s German import, Ch Graf vom Grüntenblick and his dam was Auslese Assi. Chaka became the very well known dog Wallkuer Carue (A) BH SchH III IPO III AD ZtP and was John’s partner for 11 years.

We are actively involved in breeding, showing and working our Rottweilers. We are members of the Allgemeiner Deutscher Rottweiler Klub e.V., Dogs Victoria, the Northern Districts Rottweiler Club of NSW Inc and the Rottweiler Club of Victoria Inc where Lynne is honoured to be a Life Member. John is President of the National Rottweiler Council (Australia), a position he has held for more than 13 years.
